Celesa, founded in 1952, initially produced rice straw pulp using the residue of the regional rice crop from the delta of the Ebro river. Soon thereafter production was shifted to flax and hemp pulp due to the requirements of the market, with sisal and abaca pulps being developed during the 1980's. Jute was introduced at the end of the 1990's in our continued effort to better serve our clients.
Investments in new technology and equipment are focused on improving our production methods and process control, achieving these objectives with enviromental compatibility and in compliance with ISO-9001:2008 requirements.

Celesa has earned and retains a reputation for quality assurance, being environmentally friendly and on the leading edge of technology.
